LES FORMES DU TEMPS
The sea sculpts. Time polishes. Light reveals.
In ‘LES FORMES DU TEMPS’, photographer Kenneth Poulsen invites visitors to a
poetic immersion in the heart of the rocks on the Petit Ailly beach in Varengeville-
sur-Mer. Through the magic of black and white, he reveals a mineral world shaped by
centuries, where shapes seem to spring from the imagination.
These stones, slowly eroded by the elements, evoke Henry Moore's
monumental sculptures or dreamlike creatures frozen in the rock.
Thanks to sophisticated framing and a delicate interplay of light and shadow,
each photograph becomes a meditation on the passage of time, on the
beauty born of wear and tear, on the blurred boundary between nature and art.
The images, powerful and sensitive, pay homage to the Normandy coastline so dear
to painters and poets, while affirming a singular photographic vision
and resolutely contemporary.
This exhibition is a celebration of the eye, a tribute to nature as a patient sculptor,
and to photography as an art of revelation. ‘LES FORMES
DU TEMPS’ questions our perception of reality and magnifies what erosion,
silence and light have created in rock.
